Metromatics has become the sole distributor of X-ES products in Australia and New Zealand.

Many of you may have seen in our newsletters some new products that you haven't heard or seen before. These would be from our new supplier X-ES, which we have become the sole distributor of.

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is a leader in the design, manufacture, and support of embedded computing solutions for computer-intensive military, communications, commercial, and industrial applications.

They provide a product portfolio of commercial-grade to fully ruggedised boards and systems. As well as Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products and excel in providing custom products, from modified COTS to full-scale custom designs.

Rugged Systems
  Designed to be hard-wearing and shock-resistant. Allowing for it to be used in some of the harshest conditions.

Switches, Routers & Networking

X-ES provides Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch and router modules, as well as combined PCI Express (PCIe) and Gigabit Ethernet switch modules.

	Features high-performance Small Form Factor (SFF) networking solutions that function as secure, standalone, managed switches and routers.  operate in the most demanding environmental conditions.
	Features Network Interface Controller (NIC) modules  high-performance 10 Gigabit Ethernet access via a processor board's XMC site.  communicate with their host processor using PCI Express and provide 10 Gigabit,  Ethernet through fibre connections copper connections

I/O Modules, Storage & Carriers

Xes has multiple I/O modules, storage and carrier which can support a series of functions.

Development Systems & RTMs

all of these products can be used together or can be purchased separately.

	COTS development systems enable projects to get started quickly.  They are configured with the COTS boards specific to your application and a Board Support Package (BSP) enabling you to focus on and start your application development quickly.
	X-ES Rear Transition Modules (RTMs) and PMC Interface Modules (PIMs) provide I/O through the rear of a chassis. RTMs and PIMs can be utilised in production systems that can support an RTM bay in the chassis.
	Back planes enable customers to perform their system integration, development, and testing on their schedule, not the schedule of a back plane vendor.
