Metromatics ships the final racks for AWD

Metromatics has shipped the final racks as part of the CIS Rack project, for installation into the Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyers (AWD). Installation is taking place at Techport Australia in Osborne, South Australia.
The project involved the design, prototyping, testing and final production of a custom 19” electronic racks, designed to meet the unique requirements specified for Naval platforms.
The racks including the integration of:
• Power and signal distribution
• Cooling and environmental management systems
• Patch Panels



They have been tested to meet military specifications including shock, vibration and drip.
Darren Bosanko, Metromatics South Australian Manager commented, “we are pleased to see the final ship set of racks leave our Brisbane production facility. It concludes a very significant body of work for Metromatics, spanning several years. Through a collaborative approach, we have delivered highly customised solutions that meet all the demanding requirements for use on the Air Warfare Destroyers.”

We have invested our resources and expertise into the in-house manufacture of High Bright Light Weight Industrial Racks & Consoles, Industrial Sunlight Readable LCDs, and Systems Design & Integration of our products to meet the requirements of our customers.
