Crystal Group’s Industrial Server Series Passes UL 60950-1 Testing for Electrical Safety

Crystal Group Inc one of our trusted manufacturing partners of rugged commercial-off- the-shelf (COTS) custom developed computers, displays, switches, and storage devices, has announced that their Industrial Server series has passed UL 60950-1 testing, one of the most widely- used electrical product safety standards around the world. Designed for challenging industrial applications, the series passed rigorous tests to ensure that it meets electrical criteria intended to reduce certain risks.


The UL 60950-1 standard specifies requirements intended to reduce possibilities of fire, electric shock, radiation or injury for the people who may come into contact with the equipment.  The UL 60950-1 standard is applicable to AC powered or battery-powered equipment with a rated voltage not exceeding 600 volts.

Crystal Group’s Industrial Server series is designed and manufactured to meet the computing requirements in a variety of challenging environments. The series embodies 1U, 2U and 3U form factors and is built using Supermicro X7, X8, X9 and X10 motherboard options; all of which passed the UL60950-1 test.


Crystal Group’s IS100, IS200 & IS300 servers are compact, powerful and feature rugged aluminum chassis construction with state of the art cooling which make them perfect for extreme or industrial applications.

The Supermicro New Generation X10 Haswell DP and UP Serverboards support the Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 v3 product family. Serverboards are offered in proprietary form factors for custom developed chassis, as well as standard form factors such as ATX and Extended ATX.
